ANNOUNCEMENT

  Christine Kidd Fine Art is getting a makeover! 

It's coming! The brand new website for Christine Kidd Fine Art will be launching soon. A link to the new site will be provided once it's up and running, so be on the lookout.

Got a nice wooden base to display it on now. My Dad built it for me, then I sanded it down and prettied it up with a dark mahogany stain, paint, and a couple coats of polyurethane. I just need to get a brass plate made with his name on it for the front of the base and a plexiglass case to go over the entire thing and it will be complete!

Snapped this photo moments after I'd finished baking it. I still need to smooth out some areas with sandpaper and add a few final touches here and there before it's ready for the final phase - paint! I like the classic look of the white, so the plan is to just put a nice coat of white acrylic paint on it once it's completely finished and maybe finish it off with a clear sealer of some sort.

Here's the latest picture of my Tebow sculpture. Finally starting to look like him a bit more, but definitely got some more work to do before it's finished (poor guy only has one eye right now).

Sculpture Project: Tebow

So I'm taking a sculpture class at Liberty University and our final project for the semester is a head sculpture. I chose to do mine of Tim Tebow. As you can see, it still has a ways to go before it's complete, but I think it's off to a pretty good start. I'll post more pics once it's complete.
